Custos is a fragrance-collection and wear-tracking app operated by Custos-Keeper LLC. This page explains how to get help, and how to handle the things people most often need to do. Custos is free, and there are no accounts to upgrade, no subscriptions, and no purchases.
We aim to reply within three business days. Custos is operated from the United States, in English. Please include the email address your account uses, and tell us what device and browser you were using.
For specific kinds of request, these addresses reach us directly:
On the sign-in screen, choose Forgot password? and enter your account email. You will receive a reset link. If it does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder before writing to us.
New accounts must confirm their email address before signing in. Check your spam folder first. If it still has not arrived, email support@custos-fragrance.com from the address you signed up with and we will help.
Add it anyway. Open Inventory → + Add bottle and search for it; if there is no match, choose Submit as new to send it in. The bottle is saved to your own collection immediately — you do not have to wait. Your submission then goes to a human reviewer before it becomes visible to anyone else, and the “Pending review” tag clears on its own once it is approved. If a submission is not accepted into the shared catalog, it simply stays in your own collection, marked “Private / not shared.”
Open Inventory. Any bottle that came from the shared catalog carries a small ⚑ Report button on its row. Choose the reason that fits — it contains personal information, it is offensive, it is inaccurate, it raises a trademark or copyright concern, or something else — and add a note if you want. Reports go to an administrator for review, and you can see the status of a report you filed. You can also email support@custos-fragrance.com, or, for rights concerns, legal@custos-fragrance.com.
The shared catalog is meant to hold information about fragrances, not information about people. Please do not put personal information into a catalog submission.
Open Inventory and use the JSON or CSV buttons next to the sort control. Your wear log exports the same way — open Wear Log and use Export JSON or Export CSV. JSON re-imports into Custos; CSV opens in Excel, Numbers, or Google Sheets. Nothing is locked in.
Custos accepts a spreadsheet import. Download the provided template, fill it in, and upload it. Anything that cannot be matched to the catalog is offered as a submission rather than dropped.
Go to Settings → Delete my account and confirm by typing your account email. This permanently deletes your account and your private data — collection, wear log, profile, and sign-in — and cannot be undone. Fragrance records you contributed to the shared catalog may remain in the catalog, but they will no longer be linked to your account. See Section 8.3 of the Privacy Policy for the details.
Ask Claude is an optional feature that you supply your own Anthropic API key for. It is off until you enable it. Your key is stored only on your device and never reaches our servers; when you ask a question, your question and the selected information from your collection go directly from your device to Anthropic under your own account. To turn it off and erase the key and local chat history, go to Ask Claude — settings → Disable and clear. See Section 1.5 of the Privacy Policy.
Only to look up local weather and adapt suggestions to it. You can decline the prompt, or leave the home-location field blank, and the app still works with less weather personalization. Custos deliberately reduces the coordinates before they are used, and never uses location for advertising or tracking.
